The Economic Development Council works to attract new businesses and industries to the community while also working with existing industries to promote job creation and retention and to spur additional investment.
Members of the Council meet monthly (or more often if needed) to assess ongoing activities, discuss marketing strategies, and oversee the Council’s financial operations.
An important Council service is ensuring that suitable properties are readily available to industries seeking to build new facilities or expand existing operations. An Industrial Land Fund Drive is conducted annually to generate resources for upgrading properties held by The Alliance and for purchasing additional properties so that sites are always available for sale or lease.
The Economic Development Council is committed to promoting business and industrial development in Corinth and Alcorn County. Along with local business leaders, elected officials and the state of Mississippi we are working to help retain and expand existing business and industry and recruit new business.
