Alliance Director Gary Chandler was a guest of site selection consultant Del Boyette at Boyette Strategic Advisors’ ThinkIn Roundtable in Little Rock in mid June. Topics discussed were product readiness, site selection trends and regional cooperation.
Corinth and Alcorn County were awarded site development grants from the Tennessee Valley Authority and Mississippi Development Authority. The grants will be used in conjunction with local matching funds from the City of Corinth, Alcorn County and The Alliance’s Land Fund. Grant monies will be used to clear 40 acres on the RailHub-South site and conduct a topographical survey at one-foot intervals on the site. The project cost totals $224,000. Advertisement for bids has taken place with project start date tentatively set for early September.
