Business Incubator

The Northeast Mississippi Business Incubation System (NEMBIS) offers a sheltered environment in which new and growing businesses can thrive.

NEMBIS provides

  • affordable office and manufacturing space
  • shared equipment and office support services
  • professional and business counseling.

It also houses a Community Technology Center that affords opportunities for tenants and the public to enhance their computer skills.

A partnership venture among three counties in northeastern Mississippi, the system operates facilities in Corinth (Alcorn County), Iuka (Tishimingo County), and Ripley (Tippah County.) The goals are to

  • improve the success rate for start-up businesses
  • attract new businesses
  • retain existing businesses.

The Corinth facility, hub of the system, provides 20,000 square feet of office space and about 40,000 square feet of manufacturing space. It is conveniently located at 1828 Proper Street.
